Deputy President William Ruto has agreed to distribute over 500,000 cabbages to Kenyans during this quarantine period.

DP Ruto made the announcement today in his Facebook Account and said that he understands the suffering of many Kenyans during this curfew and self-quarantine period.

“I will distribute over 500,000 cabbages to Kenyans for the next one week. I thank God because I had very dedicated farmers who ensured that I harvested large amount of cabbages. It will only be nice if I distribute them across the country to help Kenyans during this time.” He said

Dr. Ruto said that many Kenyans cannot afford proper meals especially during this times when they are not allowed to make some little earning at night.

“We all know for sure that we have several Kenyans hustle at night, but since the curfew was enfaced by the government many Kenyans can’t get food on the table.” Ruto said

Last week a picture went viral of the huge cabbage farm DP Ruto was owning in his Sugoi home. He opened up on a picture that trended on social media of his lookalike busy at work on a cabbage farm.

Many social media users said it was DP Ruto who was busy tending cabbages at his farm in Sugoi as government officials battle Covid-19.

However, questions of Deputy President William Ruto’s whereabouts surfaced online, with members of the public questioning his absence from recent state press conferences, at a time the country was facing a potentially devastating public health crisis.

All these emanating from arguments that matters of national importance were being communicated to the public in his absence, and allegedly, without his knowledge.

However DP Ruto has been making several communications through his social media pages updating Kenyans on the COVID-19 plans. The deputy president in his message asked Kenyans to be prayerful as the country braved the Coronavirus pandemic.

“Even as we face the challenge of Coronavirus, let us remind each other of the scripture, 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven,” Ruto stated
