Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) has obtained orders from the High Court of freezing 18 prime properties and seven motor vehicles belonging to former Governor Ferdinand Waititu, his family members and companies.

Lady Justice Esther Maina restrained Waititu, wife Susan Ndungú and their companies from selling, transferring, charging, disposing, wasting or in any other way interfering with the properties and vehicles pending the hearing and determination of the Kshs 1.9 Billion unexplained wealth case.

EACC cited ten land parcels in Nairobi Kayole, 2 plots in Thindigua, Embakasi Ranching, Runda Grove, Migaa Estate, Lakisama and Kencom Sacco-Runda.

In the suit filed by the anti-corruption watchdog, Waititu owns unexplained assets worth over Ksh 1.9B amassed from 2015 to 2017 when he was the Kabete Member of Parliament up to 2017 and 2020 when he served as the Kiambu governor.
