Emotional Tribute From Amber Ray to Her Best Friend Sally Wangeci (Empresal)

Socialite Amber Ray has jotted down an emotional note to her departed best friend Sally Wangeci, AKA Empresal, who was laid to rest yesterday at her parent’s home in Subukia, Nakuru County.

In the note, she confesses that Sally was her close confidant, and they usually spent good times together, making her memories hard to forget.

“When we lose a loved one, a piece of us dies with them, but they still live in us. To accept loss has no loss in itself.

To accept loss is to see that the pain you feel is the overwhelming love you feel for Sally now that she is closer to us more than ever before. She is now present in ways that are unfamiliar and unexplainable even to us. May our memory of her give room for us to see Sally as she is now in this moment.

My dear Sally, you always had me! You always checked on me! It is now my turn to make you proud here on earth,” reads part of the tribute.

The tear-jerking note further assured Sally that her three children will be taken care of by family and friends in her absence.

“I know our babies are safe with your brother John and Sister Faith! Together with the rest of your family,

I know the standards you have already set for them will only grow, and I promise I will be there for them when they need me and even when they don’t.” She wrote.

“The sorrow we feel today is mostly from your death reminding us that we are heading there. Your death has taught me what matters, It has taught me who matters, and it has reminded me why it all matters. Go well my friend, and may your new journey be as colorful as you.” She added.

In her burial, Sally was eulogized as an impassionate interior designer who also had gifted skills in the hospitality industry, as she owned a renowned posh lounge located in Serenity Road, Nairobi, styled Miale Lounge.

It is reported that she died as a result of a spine injury sustained when she was involved in a grisly road accident on Nanyuki Highway.

The injury was never treated successfully despite flying to India in 2018 to seek specialized treatment. She has been under medication since then, and on her last day on earth, she complained of back pains and was rushed to hospital, where she collapsed and was pronounced dead thereafter on December 12, 2021.
