– Eric Dier was involved in a row with fans during an FA Cup game with Norwich in March
– The Tottenham star was seen as he dashed into the crowd to face-off with a fan
– Dier has been slapped with a four-match ban and will also pay a fine of KSh 5 million
The English FA has charged Tottenham star Eric Dier for breaching FA Rule E3 having shown in a footage confronting fans in the stands who had allegedly verbally abused his brother.
Spurs were held to a 1-1 draw against Norwich in the fifth round of the competition, forcing the match into extra time.
However, the match had to be decided through post-match penalties after neither side failing to score the winner in extra time.
Tottenham subsequently lost the match in the shootouts, with Eric Lamela, Troy Parrott and Gedson Fernandes all missing their spot-kicks.
But the match was punctuated with dramatic scenes at the blow of the whistle as Dier got physical with a fan who had allegedly insulted him.

The player has now received a four-match ban and fined £40,000 after he was found to be in breach of FA Rule E3.
“Eric Dier has been suspended for four matches with immediate effect, fined £40,000 and warned as to his future conduct following a breach of FA Rule E3,” read a statement from the FA.
“An independent Regulatory Commission subsequently found Eric Dier’s actions to be threatening,” the statement added.
