After comedian Eric Omondi claimed that popular Tanzanian Bongo musician Harmonize struck him, the Harmonize saga appears to be far from over.
Eric claims he received a call informing him that the Bongo star had been apprehended in a Kileleshwa residence where he was hiding in the master bedroom.
Harmonize punched the comic in the face, leaving him with a gash on his lower lip, when he went to check on him at the Kileleshwa police station.
Harmonize purportedly struck the comic in front of former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and the Kileleshwa police station OCPD.
Speaking to the press outside Kileleshwa police station, the funnyman claimed Harmonize collected money from four venues where he was meant to perform and never followed through on the deal.
“He collected money from four clubs, including Sonko’s Club Volume, and they are now demanding payback,” Omondi claimed.
Harmonize’s passport has been seized, according to a source, until the situation is addressed.
“Because he is a flight risk, the police have taken his passport. Harmonize may leave before reimbursing the money he received for performing but did not honour,” the source said.
Jor Barsil, the director of Captain’s Lounge outside the police station, revealed that Harmonize was supposed to perform for an hour and a half but only did five minutes.
“I paid Ksh450,000 for Harmonize to come to the club for a celebration and to spend one and a half hours with the supporters, but when he arrived, he barely stayed for five minutes. This enraged revellers, who wanted to assault him.”
Eric Omondi has pledged that Harmonize will not be released until his lawyer arrives at the station to press charges against the singer.
The two fought after a disagreement.
