Kenya is staring at a looming food shortage following the spread of the fall army worm in parts of the western and rift valley region. While seeking assistance from the government, farmers in Uasin-Gishu and Elgeyo Marakwet counties say the pests are posing a threat to food production as the worms have so far invaded farms in the two regions.
