Fena to headline International Women’s Day concert

The concert is in partnership with the state department for culture and heritage and Tusker Malt Lager.

International Women’s Day concert was founded in 2017 by the Kenya conservatoire of music to celebrate women in music. The concert features an all-female orchestra and a number of solo performances, which will display the dynamic nature of their instruments with a mixture of both classical and African music.

This year, the sixth edition of the concert series is back on the 4th and 5th of March. The concert’s theme is ‘We are here’. For the first time here, Fena Gitu will headline the concert backed by  =a live orchestra. The show will also feature Motra Music, Kike Dance and Spellcast Trebles. Past events have featured various vocalists including AFRIMA Nominated Olivia Ambani, Lisa Oduor-Noah, Maryolive Mungai, pianist Nanjala Antonia and violinist Shirlene Obara.
