Five people killed after matatu rams into stationary trailer

Five people were on Monday morning killed on the spot following a road accident along the Kisii-Nyamira highway.

The accident occurred at around 4.00 am.

According to reports, the fourteen-seater Public Service Vehicle (PSV) hit a stationary trailer that had been parked by the roadside killing five male adults on the spot.

Seven other people including two women who were seriously injured were rushed to Kisii level Six hospital for treatment.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to the facility morgue.
