Form Three girl nursing injuries after being attacked by her father over school fees

A form three student at Mundaha secondary school in Khwisero constituency, Kakamega county is admitted at Mwihila mission hospital nursing injuries after she alledgedly was beaten by her father over school fees.

Beverlyne Khatondi says she asked his father John Ndakala to give her money to clear School fees balance of Ksh4900 after her elder brother Peter Etere said he had sent the father school fees for her.

However, she was shocked after her father attacked them in the kitchen.

“My brother who works in Nairobi had promised to sent Ksh10,000 to cater for part of my school fees and my younger sister who was to be admitted to form one in the same school. But when I tried to ask my father after he enrolled my sister over the balance to pay my fees attacked us in the kitchen with a hammer and a rungu which he used to hit me on the head inflicting the injuries,” Khatondi told K24 digital.

Human activities in Khwisero led by Nancy Njomo, claim on increased assault cases in the area as the girl had earlier on claimed the father had harrassed her on several occasion.

“I blame the mother to this girl Phylis Ndakala because every time the husband does such incident, she always defends him now she claims that the girl intended to fight his father,” Njomo said.
