A five judge bench of the Supreme Court has overturned the decision of a tribunal recommending the removal of Justice Martin Muya from the Judiciary. The judge had been accused of bias in a 76 million shillings loan dispute between NIC Bank and a businessman whose 14 lorries were detained as security for a loan. The court held that the tribunal didn’t arrive at the right decision in making its recommendations to have the judge removed. The Kapsaret legislator is facing charges of using fake KCPE documents. A witness, Patrick Maritim a former school principal of Highway secondary told the court that the 2016 enrollment records did not show up Oscar Sudi’s name.
