President Uhuru Kenyatta is inching closer to retirement from the Presidency as the 2022 General Elections set for August 9 keeps drawing nearer.

His retirement entails vacating the State House, which will be the new residence of the voted fifth President of Kenya.

Then, where will Uhuru reside after retirement? Litkenya has compiled four residences where he might cool his heels in post-work years.

1. Close to State House

President Uhuru Kenyatta has an abode located just beside State House.

In 2019, details surfaced that the Head of State has a mansion that reportedly cost him a staggering Ksh700 million to build.

The house has an electric fence, helipad, bulletproof windows, among other facilities that boost security.

It is strategically located, with a roundabout that leads to the driveway in the middle of the compound.

2. Maasai-Mara Narok County

The word has it that President Uhuru owns a 1000 acre piece of land that borders Deputy President William Ruto’s ranch in Oloolmongi, Lolgorian Ward near Maasai Mara Game Reserve.

In January 2020, Uhuru allegedly hosted a closed-door house warming party where the guests were asked to leave their phones at the gate to avoid leaking its photos.

3. Gicheha Farm Nakuru County

President Uhuru has a 4000-acre ranch located along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway in his possession.

On the farm, he keeps over 1000 animals of various breeds and usually spends quality time there during holidays.

4. Ichaweri Home, Kiambu County

This is his rural home where his father, Jomo Kenyatta, spent time when he was off duty.

The stately home was constructed by British colonizers as indemnification for expropriating his land while he was serving his jail term in Kapenguria Prison.

Recently, the old house was remodeled and the roads leading to it vamped up to fit the quality of the man with power.
