Bandari FC managed to hold record Kenya Premier League champions Gor Mahia to a 0-0 draw in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League encounter at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday.

This is the third time K’Ogalo have dropped points after draws against Ulinzi Stars and Kenya Police previously.

The draw saw K’Ogalo return to the top on 18 points from eight encounters, same as Kakamega Homeboyz, who have an inferior goal difference and played out to a scoreless draw against Bidco United on Saturday.

Bandari on the other hand moved to sixth position on 15 points from eight matches.

In Ruaraka, despite a barrage of chances title holders Tusker FC equally played to a barren draw with 2009 champions Sofapaka.

It was the first league match for Tusker since November 7 when they lost 3-0 to Kariobangi Sharks at Moi International Stadium in Nairobi.

The brewers did not resume league action with the rest of the teams on December 4 due to their participation in Caf Confederation Cup, where they exited following a 1-0 aggregate loss to Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien in the final round of the play-off stage.

The draw means Tusker’s search for a third win of the season continues

Elsewhere AFC Leopards drew 1-1 with Vihiga Bullets at Bukhugu Stadium while Posta Rangers beat newly promoted FC Talanta 2-0 at Thika Stadium.

At Utalii grounds, KCB beat Ulinzi Stars 2-0 to move into second place on 18 points, same as leaders Gor Mahia and third placed Kakamega Homeboyz.
