Kagwe added that the increasing challenges in tracing contacts has seen the ministry enhance new methods to reach the affected.
“We had like 10 ambulances in Nairobi on standby to collect those affected, but with 500 people testing positive in a day, we cannot have 500 ambulances,” he said.
Kagwe warned Kenyans to observe the protocols laid by the government seriously. He also said that since many samples reveal many positive cases. that number, if equated with population, many people will turn positive.
On friday, Kenya recorded 723 more positive cases from 8,679 samples. The total number of positive covid-19 cases in the country now stand at 20,636. But on a sad note, the ministry also reported that 16 patients succumbed to the virus bringing the number of deaths to 341.
