Governor Mvurya’s father laid to rest in Kazandani Kwale County

Mzee Mgala Mvurya, father to Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya has been laid to rest at his home in Kazandani, Kwale County.

Politicians and friends joined the family to pay their last respects to Mzee Mgala who passed on after a long illness.

Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi condoled the family saying they will continue to pray for them to remain strong united following the loss.

“With Mzee’s passing on, Kwale County and indeed the entire Coast region has lost a father figure and a repository of knowledge and wisdom. Our prayers and thoughts are with Governor Salim Mvurya’s family and the entire Kwale County fraternity. Rest in Peace Mzee Mgala Mvurya,” He said.

Deputy President William Ruto who was represented by Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka urged the family to celebrate the late Mzee Mgala and learn from his humbleness and leadership.

“The Kenya Kwanza Alliance is saddened by the passing of Mzee Mgala Mvurya Wanini. We have lost a father, a grandfather and an elder: a man of wisdom, a counsellor and leader. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time. May the Lord grant Mzee eternal rest,” He said.
