Govt extends deadline for phasing out of old generation passports to November » Capital News

NAIROBI, Kenya, January 21 – The government has extended the deadline for the phasing out of the old generation passport to November this year.

Immigrations Services Director General Alexander Muteshi said the decision was arrived at following the 41^st meeting of the East African Community (EAC) council of ministers held in Arusha last year.

He indicated that during the meeting, the phasing out period of all EAC member countries passport was pushed to November this year, and “since Kenya as a member state is bound by the Council’s decisions, we will abide by this directive for now.”
