Harrier, D-Max, Golf, FH and 27 other vehicles to buy on auction by July 4

Bank Vehicles on Auction: Auctions are some of the best markets to buy things at a bargain, and prospective car buyers now have a chance to get cars at a huge discount. This is because the Co-operative Bank of Kenya is selling over 27 vehicles on auction. The vehicles are currently located in various car yards where prospective buyers can view and carry out an inspection before placing their bids.

The vehicles range from Isuzu D-Max pick ups, Toyota Harrier, Isuzu and Mitsubishi Trucks, and even trailers.

A spot check reveals that the vehicles are fair riced at between Sh. 150,000 to Sh. 2.8 million. A 2012 petrol Volkswagen, Golf, with manual transmission, an engine cc of 1,380 and genuine mileage of 90,121 is going for Sh. 840,000. A diesel DAF, XF460, Prime Mover, manufactured in 2009 with 12,900 cc and manual transmission is going for Sh. 2.8 million.

Prospective buyers have until July 4 when the bids will be closed.

Before you place your bid, you can opt to get a value to give you a good price bidding range. “If possible, get a valuer to check out the property. This will give you a valuation for comparison with what’s in the market, a bidding limit, and if the property is a vehicle, what repairs to expect afterwards,” says Ezekiel Mugonyi, a licensed auctioneer working in Nairobi.
