The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to have spoken to private schools in the West Hollywood area of Los Angeles.
Fees can typically cost almost Sh4 million (£30,000) a year – on a par with elite boarding schools in the UK. Harry’s old school Eton costs around Sh5.6 million (£42,000).
A source said: “Meghan wants to send Archie to a diverse and socially integrated pre-school.
“She has been in touch with schools and started to make plans.
“For her the big thing is that she doesn’t want Archie to attend a posh private school and wants it to be as diverse as possible.”

This news comes after reports of Prince Harry and Meghan being protected by guards who keep Hollywood A-listers safe at up to Sh936, 000 (£7,000) a day have emerged.
A team watching over the couple and son Archie has been assigned by Gavin de Becker, 65 – a former security chief for President Ronald Reagan.
