The drama pitting comedian Eric Omondi against his baby mama journalist Jacque Maribe is crystalising into a movie not many had foreseen playing.
Barely 48 hours after Maribe accused the entertainer of being a deadbeat dad to their son, Omondi has hit back and in the most controversial way.
In a lengthy social media post, he recounted how they met, his affair with her, and the subsequent consequences.
The funnyman noted that he has always doubted being the father of Maribe’s child.
“So, we met at Radio Africa in 2012. I was working at Radio Jambo and Jacque was working at Kiss TV. So, one random night after a Radio Africa Staff Party and after a few bottles of whisky and wine glasses, Jacque and I happened,” he had.
The rib-tickler claimed that was the first and the last time he had a steamy session with the media personality.
Omondi said he became suspicious when Maribe informed him that she was pregnant with his child two months later. He also claimed that at the time she was dating a senior reporter currently working with Citizen TV.
“It was a one-night thing because she was dating journalist Sam Ogina. We used protection! After two months, Jacque tells me she’s pregnant. Immediately I ask her how since we used protection. She then tells me, ‘it doesn’t matter, the mother always knows who the father’ and I’m the father.”
After the baby was born, he added that he demanded a DNA test, but she declined.
“She refused my request and got very offended. For seven years, I’ve begged Jacque to allow us to have a DNA test and she has continually refused,” he wrote.
However, the story by the comedian looks inconsistent and this is why.
The boy is currently seven and was born in October 2014. If the act happened in 2012, there is no way the baby would have arrived two years later yet a pregnancy takes nine months.
