– Man United will battle Sheffield in their second fixture since the return of the Premier League

– The match will see Pogba possibly return to the starting line up for the first time in months

– The Frenchman played an integral part in United’s comeback draw against Tottenham

Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes are primed to start together for the first time when Man United takes on Sheffield on Wednesday, June 25.

Pogba was impressive in his cameo against Tottenham Hotspur last Friday and could now be in line to return to the starting line up at Old Trafford.

He was a second half substitute at Spurs, with his introduction playing a pivotal part in earning United a precious draw away from home.

The Frenchman showed flashes of brilliance, playing behind Bruno with Scott McTominay at the base of midfield.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now looks set to start the three in his midfield, but must decide who between Fred and Dan James misses out.

The Norwegian has no injury concerns but Victor Lindelof who was forced out in the second half could be replaced with Eric Bailly who will partner with Harry Maguire in the heart of defence.

Having shown his faith in David de Gea despite his error-prone performance, Solskjaer is likely to start the Spaniard in goal with Brandon Williams and Aaron Wan-Bissaka providing cover in either flank.

Marcus Rashford is sure to start upfront despite his rusty performance against Spurs alongside Anthony Martial who was also underwhelming.

Victory at home will see United narrow the gap between them and fourth placed Chelsea to just two points as they push for a top four finish.

Meanwhile, Chris Wilder will be without goalkeeper Dean Henderson who is unable to play against his parent club.
