Deputy President William Ruto has challenged his opponents to focus on finding solutions to the challenges facing ordinary Kenyans instead of being preoccupied with apportioning political positions.
He said the August General Election will offer Kenyans an opportunity to elect a Government that is sensitive to their needs as “opposed to one that is after changing the Constitution to create power for a few at the top.”
Ruto who led the Kenya Kwanza team in a series of meetings in Nyamira and Kisii Counties pledged to oversee the construction of tea and coffee factories in the region to protect local farmers from unscrupulous middlemen.
DP Ruto led the Kenya Kwanza coalition in yet another economic forum in Nyamira County in a bid to sell his economic model to locals. Ruto challenged his opponents to develop an agenda that will address the plight of Kenyans.
“The people want to have a real conversation about tangible progress in their own lives and in their own communities,” he said
Ruto said, should the coalition form the next government, it will oversee the construction of tea and coffee factories in the region to protect local farmers from what he termed as abuse by unscrupulous middlemen.
The principals also promised to relook at the health sector, pledging modifications to the NHIF program. Leaders who attended the meeting urged locals to rally behind the DP and the coalition.
