Veteran media personality Njogu wa Njoroge’s second wife has opened up about an illness that saw her hospitalised recently.

Speaking to her fans during a live session on Facebook, Mary Lincon revealed that she contracted Covid-19.

The popular gospel artiste remarked that in the last few days, her faith has been put to test.

Mary said the respiratory illness left her helpless and with a lot of pain.

Coincidentally, she had been booked to the same hospital and bed that her best friend, a video vixen, stayed for weeks before she died in October this year.

“Now I know that God heals. I prayed and asked the Lord to save my life. Everything happens for a good reason and I know God was with me. Perhaps I became sick because God wanted to save me from another disaster,” she said.

Earlier this week, the musician made a small prayer on Facebook, pleading with God to be with her in the storm.

“Father, we walked together and you’ve helped me in all seasons of my life,” she wrote.

She was discharged two days after doctors gave her a clean bill of health.

However, on Saturday, December 24, she was rushed to hospital again after passing out while in her house.

“I would have spent this Christmas in hospital, but God has been faithful. I collapsed in my house and the doctors thought I would be admitted again,” she stated.

But after she was resuscitated, all tests were done and it was established that there was no reason to hospitalise her.

“To my fans, be safe because Covid-19 is still with us. For me, I’m taking medicine and I hope I will fully recover very soon.”
