Presidential aspirant Jimmi Wanjagi says he will provide jobs or self-employment opportunities to at least one member of every family in the Country if elected President.
Wanjigi says the continued emphasis on economic growth despite high unemployment numbers has left many youth wondering where all the expenditure and wealth is going.
“The Constitution in Article 55 stipulates that the State shall take whatever measures including affirmative action programmes to ensure that the youth access various resources including employment opportunities and participate in development processes. Kenya has approximately 13 million households and that will translate to 13 million jobs,” He said.
He said the youth’s concerns reflect an unequal distribution of wealth in the country, resulting in poor social development.

“I will focus on direct impacts targeting construction workers, hospital staff, police service ratios, farmers, the supply chain jobs, then measure the impact of the incremental paychecks in the community, which has an effect on housing, markets, transport, restaurants and retail,” he said.
Wanjigi also took time to engage with over 1,600 Kenyans on WhatsApp for his a digital campaign which he says will enable him get closer and speak to his supporters in their personal space.
He said his presidency will give priority to subsistence farming data, productivity, value addition as well as reduce cost of inputs through local manufacturing.
Wanjigi further says he will reform the NCPB, introduce a strategic food reserve policy and embrace the One Fee One License model of business.
He said he will digitize everything to reduce corruption interfaces in Government institutions as well as cub wastages.
