The Ethics and Anti-Corruption commission now wants 241 aspirants who include Muranga Governor Mwangi wa Iria barred from vying for presidency on grounds of lack of integrity. The EACC has written to the electoral agency IEBC accusing governor Wairia of obstructing investigators and destroying evidence during a probe on corruption in Murangá county. The Anti-graft agency has also raised integrity issues on 61 aspirants vying for gubernatorial positions including Kirinyaga’s Anne Waiguru, former governors Mike Sonko and Evans Kidero.
