Famous comedian Eric Omondi has faced heavy backlash after his baby mama Jacque Maribe, who is a prominent media personality, accused him of being a deadbeat dad.

Omondi went on Instagram to claim his girlfriend, Miss P is pregnant.
The happy father-to-be expressed how happy he was and can’t wait to meet and take care of the little one.

“I met this beautiful woman five months ago in an event I was hosting. Whatever happened happened and I promised her I would take every responsibility. Children are a blessing from God,” he wrote.

It did not take long before Maribe joined other Kenyans in the comments section.

She was shocked at the entertainer’s promise to his new lover.
The journalist, who has a seven-year-old son with Omondi claimed that he is a deadbeat and absent father, and even tagged her sister to confirm if she was speaking the truth.

“Responsibility? @Cate Maribe come I can’t speak. Seven years of responsibility,” she sarcastically said.

Cate supported her sister’s allegation and even added that he doesn’t pay school fees for his son.

Netizens could not believe what they just read, with most of them wondering why he doesn’t support his baby mama in raising their offspring yet on social media he displays flamboyance.

Others accused the former Citizen TV news anchor of trying to soil the name of her baby daddy.

However, she stood her ground and insisted that she brings up her son alone.

“I have an absolute love for my son, the fruit of my womb that I wanted. And I’m blessed to be the custodian.

“Respect me for being real. You can read in between the lines if you want. I’m hopelessly in love with motherhood. My goal as a single mum is to raise a brilliant person,” she said.
