JSC Unveils List of Shortlisted Candidates; How to Check

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has unveiled a list of shortlisted candidates for jobs they advertised in October 2021.

In a statement released by Chief Justice Martha Koome on March 10, it was revealed that the 500 vacant slots for the position of Court Assistant II had attracted over 50,000 applications from Kenyans.

At the time, it was revealed that the monthly gross salary for the position ranged from Ksh61,400 to Ksh79,300. 

“JSC would like to notify applicants and the members of the public in general that the shortlisting process for the positions that were advertised on October 8, 2021 has been completed after a thorough evaluation of the applications.

“Among positions that attracted a high number of applicants include that of Court Assistant II which has 57,245 applications,” read the statement by the CJ.

How to Check Shortlisting and Interview Requirements

Kenyans who applied for the position have been advised to visit the JSC website using the link,  to check if they were shortlisted for the job.

Upon opening the page, applicants are advised to check for their names by carrying out a search using their National Identification (ID) numbers.

“You can search for an applicant by ID number or name on the webpage. A yellow highlight indicates a match. To find a word or phrase quickly, use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + f (Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS) or + ⌘ f (Mac OS) (Mac).

“Yellow markers appear on the right scrollbar, indicating the location of all of the matches on the page,” read the statement.

Additionally, JSC announced that interviews will begin from March 15 to April 14 at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies located along Thika road.

Apart from getting clearance from the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), shortlisted candidates were also advised to carry with them clearance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

“Shortlisted candidates are requested to read the schedule carefully and adhere to the timelines. Specific venues will be notified to candidates on arrival at the venue.

Candidates are asked to bring their original certificates and must remember to take them back after the interview,” read the statement in part.
