Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said it was not an easy decision to rejoin the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party after falling out with Raila Odinga.

The former Vice-President left Azimio on May 16, the same day Raila overlooked for the running mate position in favour of Narc-Kenya party leader Martha Karua.

He insisted the slot was a reserve of Wiper, thus he had no option but to chart his own path by running for President.

Today, Kalonzo said he returned to Azimio after praying to God to show him the right direction.

“When a took a week long break, I prayed until God showed me that Azimio is the solution for Kenya. Some pastors stood with me,” he said.

The Wiper boss added that he has accepted the Chief Minister position that was offered to him by Raila. Sources revealed that he will be the Chief Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs if Azimio forms the next government.

‘The nation is greater than an individual. I have deferred my dream to vie for the seat of the president of Kenya. After wide consultation, I have accepted the nomination to be Chief Minister in the Azimio government. It’s not if we will win, but when,” he said.

He also declared unconditional support for Raila and Karua.

“Beginning today, I commit myself to Azimio-OKA campaigns because we are in this race to win, we have no option,” he promised.

President Uhuru Kenyatta, the Azimio chairman tasked Kanu chairman Gideon Moi to convince Kalonzo to rejoin Azimio.

The Baringo Senator celebrated after a successful mission.

“I have done it. Azimio la Umoja One Kenya is the way to go,” Moi said.

Kalonzo joined Raila for a rally in Mukuru Kwa Njenga slum in Nairobi this afternoon to cement their reunion.
