Kamba elders want Kalonzo to succeed President Kenyatta

Elders from the Akamba community are now rooting to have Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in the next general elections.

The elders said Musyoka’s decision to work with the President was the best option as it places him in a strategic position in readiness for the top leadership of the country.

The Akamba Clans Governing Council of Elders Chairman Boniface Kilonzo urged the community to remain united behind Kalonzo Musyoka saying it is his time to lead the country.

The leaders lauded Musyoka for acceding to work with the president claiming he is a sign of goodwill for the Kamba community.

The elders also revealed that they are in total support of any constitutional reforms through the popular BBI initiative.

However they faulted a section of politicians and residents who continue making reckless and unpleasant utterances that might jeopardize the unity of the Kamba people.

They said individual and selfish political ambition cannot override the aspirations of the larger community to be in government.
