KCAA seeking new boss to replace Gilbert Kibe

NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 2 -The Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) is seeking a new Director-General to replace current DG Gilbert Kibe who is set to exit the office in April.

Kibe held the position since 2015 when he took over from Hillary Kioko.

He has previously served as the CEO of Bahati Ridge Development Limited and Nairobi Flight Training Limited.

Through a notice shared on the local dailies, the authority said all interest candidates should submit their applications before February 21.

All candidates should possess management and technical experience skill in civil aviation of not less than 10 years, five of which must be in senior positions.

“Working experience with International Civil Aviation Safety and Security Oversight Agency. African Civil Aviation Commission, European Union Aviation Safety Agency, Federal Aviation Administration Authority and other bodies relevant to KCAA and civil aviation, in general, will be an added advantage,” the notice read.
