KCB FC has heightened preparations ahead of the weekend’s clash against Nairobi City Stars in the Federation of Kenyan Football (FKF) premier league match.

The bankers who face City Stars on Saturday, May 21, 2022, are currently ninth on the log having garnered 40 points with three league matches left to play in the current season.

Assistant Coach Godfrey Oduor says despite the poor run of form, he expects the team to win the remaining league matches to end the season on a high .

“We have had a very difficult season; we had our target at the beginning of the season which was to clinch the title but somehow along the way as is in football we experienced a dip in form which puts us at an awkward position but we intend to win the remaining three matches to end the season on a high.” He said

Oduor further expressed his confidence in the squad and reckons they have been working on the defense department to ensure that they do not concede goals that have proved costly to the team in the recent matches.

“We had some of our key defenders injured in the course of the season but we have been working so hard in training to keep the rest of the squad fit and improve that department.” added Oduor.

Speaking after today’s open training session at the Ruaraka sports club, forward Enock Agwanda said the boys have their heads held high despite the recent performances.

He admits the confidence level in the squad is high and are ready to grab the three vital points against Nairobi City Stars.

After playing City stars, the other remaining fixtures for KCB in the current 2021/2022 season will be against Nzoia Sugar and Bidco United.
