KCB FC assistant head coach Godfrey Oduor is on the qui vive of the opposition that Nzoia Sugar will present when the two sides clash in their Kenyan Premier League match on Sunday at Sudi Stadium, Bungoma.
KCB snapped a six-match unbeaten run when they beat City Stars 3-2 last weekend to notch the first win since beating Wazito Fc on 12th March.
The win against City Stars was crucial in lifting the side’s spirits ahead of the crunch ties remaining before the season folds in 14 days.
‘’The previous match against City Stars was important to us because we needed it to see how best we can finish the season, and it did give us great morale ahead of the next match against Nzoia Sugar’’, remarked KCB FC Assistant coach.

The assistant head coach failed to downplay Nzoia’s expected resistance despite the fact that the Bungoma based side has picked just three points from a possible 15 and lies 15th three points above the drop zone.
‘’Nzoia is a good team despite the fact that they are fighting relegation. It’s a team that we will be facing knowing that we need all our energies all our concentration. We aimed to finish top of the league any other spot is a consolation’’, remarked Godfrey.
Forward Derrick Otanga who is also the league’s top scorer having found the back of the net 14 times says he is determined to clinch the golden boot with two more matches to go.
“My close opponent in the golden boot race has scored 12 goals and with two matches left to play this season, anything can happen. I must score more goals to help my team win the remaining games and individually to win the golden boot. I am happy with the team as the boys are in high spirits ahead of this clash.
KCB currently sitting 8th on the log face Bidco United in their last league fixture expected to be played on 11th June.
