Kenya Drops One place in Latest Fifa Rankings

National soccer team Harambee Stars has dropped one place in the latest Fifa rankings released on Thursday, 10th February.

Stars are now on position 103 globally with 1202.26 points after dropping from position 102.

Stars were last in action in November last year where they beat Rwanda 2-1 in a 2022 World Cup final group stage qualifier match staged at Nyayo Stadium.

The match was the last for coach Engin Firat whose two-month contract with the national team expired.

Uganda Cranes are in the 84th position topping in East Africa. The others are Rwanda (136), Tanzania (132), Ethiopia (134), Burundi (141), and South Sudan (168).

After winning their first Africa Cup of Nations title last weekend, Senegal are still ranked top in Africa at 18th position followed by Morrocco in 24th, and Nigeria in 32nd position. Egypt sits at 34th and Tunisia at 36th and Cameroon at 38th.

Globally, Belgium remains in the first position ahead of Brazil and France who are in second and third place respectively.

Following the impressive results in the South American qualifiers, Argentina takes fourth place while England takes the fifth position.
