Kenyan Action Movie to Feature in International Film Academy Awards – Kenyan Business Feed

The Oscar selection committee has settled on the film Mission to rescue by Foxton Media Kenya for the best International Feature Film category at the 94^th Academy awards 2022.

According to Alamin Virani secretary of Oscar Selection Committee Kenya (OSCK), they received four entries that include Mission to Rescue, Bangarang, Kiapo and Mukami.

“After evaluating the four films the committee has settled on the film Mission to rescue. The film stems from the story of a French woman who was kidnapped by Al-Shabaab. The idea seeks to highlight the effects of radicalization within the community that aim to curb terrorism, “he said.

The nominees for the 94^th Academy Awards will be announced by the Academy on Tuesday 8^th February 2022.
