President Uhuru Kenyatta’s successful visit to the United Kingdom (UK) had many highlights which included the president securing multiple deals for the country, and the acquisition of some 817,000 Covid-19 vaccines.
One other highlight for the president was meeting a Kenyan entrepreneur based in the UK who catered for him through his restaurant which offers top Kenyan cuisine.

He met Uhuru at the Education Summit and was introduced to the head of state by Kenya’s High Commissioner to the UK Manoah Esipisu.
The food entrepreneur took pictures with President Kenyatta in what was a proud moment for the UK-based Kenyan and was celebrated by the High Commissioner to the UK.
Taking to his official Twitter account, Esipisu expressed how proud he was to have a Kenyan taking part in the success of the event.
“As we celebrate President Kenyatta’s official visit to Flag of United Kingdom last week, we appreciate everyone who joined us in making this state visit memorable & beneficial. A big shoutout to Joe Catering, a top Kenyan eatery in the UK selected to provide some of the cuisines at the #GES2021,” tweeted the High Commissioner.
Many Kenyans have resorted to moving their ambitions of growing their businesses elsewhere, with the UK being one of the favorable destinations for African entrepreneurs.
President Kenyatta had attended the Global Education Summit alongside UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, an event aimed at raising billions of shillings for the improvement of access to education worldwide.
