It is indeed a wonderful new year for two people who have won Ksh100 million each in a free millionaire promotion done in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The two, a Kenyan national of Indian descent based in Nairobi, Tajinder Dhanjal, and a German national, Rolf Hartung, walked away with the prizes of a promo dubbed 2022 Dubai Duty-Free Millennium Millionaire promotion.

Tajinder is now the third Kenyan to win the promotion since its birth in 1999. The mother of two is a housewife and has been participating in the promotion since 2002.

“This is a real blessing from God, I cannot explain how much I appreciate this,” she stated.

The 67-year old Rolf of Germany was overjoyed by winning the bonanza and stated that it was a great start for the new year.

“This is not only great joy but a great honor. I’m really surprised. I never thought that I would win one day. Thank you, Dubai. What a great start for the new year,” he noted.

The duet is the first participant to win the bankrolling amount of money in 2022, as other previous participants won other prizes, such as the Mercedes Benz S500. In 2021, the winner received Ksh1 million.

This is not the first time a Kenyan is winning in an international competition. Recently, a Kenyan named Takachar of Safi Organics received Ksh500 million from Tesla owner tycoon Elon Musk.

Takachar had incepted a way of eliminating carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to combat global warming.
