Kifo hakina huruma! Diamond Platnumz is in mourning

The grim reaper has mercilessly snatched Diamond Platnumz’s grandfather.

Mzee Shamte who is the father of Rally Jones – Diamond’s stepfather – has passed away.

The news was announced by Rally Jones a few hours ago on his social media.

He posted a photo with the words, Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un is a phrase mentioned in verse 2:156 of the Qur’an.

It means, “Verily we belong to God, and verily to Him do we return.”

The phrase is commonly recited by Muslims when a person experiences a tragedy in life, especially upon hearing news that a person has died.

He wrote,

“4 May 2020. MZEE SHAMTE BABA YANGU MZAZI 🙏.”

Mama Dangote also posted the same announcing the death of her father-in-law.

Condolences are pouring in from Tanzanian celebrities and fans of the couple.

There is a great likelihood he maybe buried later today as per the Islamic law.
