Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has ignited the internet after satirically claiming he has missed the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) rallies.
Though he was a strong critic of the BBI process, Murkomen used to steal the show with his stinging attacks and criticism of the report during public rallies organised to popularise it.

Through his Twitter handle on Saturday, Agust 1, the vocal senator sparked controversy on his timeline after opening up about BBI thoughts that had crossed his mind.
“Some weird thought crossed my mind. I miss BBI rallies,” he tweeted.
In the final rally he attended in Meru county, Murkomen who was accompanied by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria caused a storm when he turned the event into a political rally and called out the proponents of the report for allegedly misleading Kenyans.
Interestingly, the senator who was “unwanted” at the event won the hearts of many people who had attended the function and was cheered during and after the speech.
Prior to that, the then Senate majority leader had caused another scene in Mombasa where he changed the tactic and danced to the tune of BBI reggae.
He praised Raila and severally referred to him as Baba (father) perhaps to avoid facing hostility from the ODM stronghold.
