Jack Ochieng’ was among three other men who went missing on April 19, 2021, after sharing a meal at a popular club in Kitengela.

According to a local publication, Ochieng’s mother Olga Ochieng and his wife Monica Mugo are currently fighting for their lives in hospitals after being taken ill 48 hours apart

Olga, aged 64, fell ill on Wednesday, May 12, and was rushed to Homa Bay County Hospital over severe depression.

“Our mother has been depressed ever since the disappearance of her last born son,” said Ochieng’s elder brother Cliff Ochieng.

On the other hand, Mugo was admitted to the Kenyatta National Hospital on Friday, May 14, with pregnancy complications (miscarriage).

Three others who were kidnapped alongside Ochieng’ include; Brian Oduor, Elijah Obuong and Benjamin Imbai

Sand harvesters spotted the body of Obuong near Mukungai River along Murang’a Road on Tuesday, April 20, from where it was taken to the mortuary.

The deceased’s body was later identified by his brother Michael Amollo on Thursday, April 29, who said the body had no visible injuries.

The remains of Imbai were found at General Kago Funeral Home in Thika on Thursday, April 29.

Police officers said his body was taken to the mortuary on Tuesday, April 20.
