KNA boss ‘jumps the broom’ – Kenya News Agency

Head of Kenya News Agency (KNA) in the Ministry of ICT, Innovation and Youth Affairs Joseph Kipkoech and his bride Irene Jerop jumped the broom last Saturday in Kapsowar.

The colourful wedding ceremony started off with a church service at St Mary’s Kapsowar Catholic church officiated by Father Benjamin Kanda.

The reverend father advice the couple to lean on each other and complement each other when one is weak.

He said in order to build a strong Christian home and family, they must honour God and His word, because when they begin ignoring the principles of the Bible, they cannot expect to have a good relationship. “Go to church, read God’s word and ask for guidance in your marriage,” he added.

He adviced them to also be prayerful and cautioned Kipkoech not to always let the wife take the lead when it comes to prayers at home, but that he should take the lead as he is the authority in the home.

Congratulatory messages came from co-workers’ family and friends alike including Marakwet West legislator William Kisang who was in attendance.

Not even the rains could deter the guests from singing and dancing with the couple at their reception.

The KNA fraternity wishes them well in their marriage.
