The Kenya Premier League Governing Council is expected to make a decision on the fate of the 2019-2020 season return next week.
The KPL governing council will convene depending on the new measures that the government will announce to curb the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
As of now, the Kenya Premier League has clarified that no decision has been made regarding the fate of the 2019-2020 season.
Cabinet Secretary for Sports Ambassador Amina Mohamed recently confirmed that the government is preparing for the resumption of sporting activities in the country once the Covid-19 situation has been managed.

So far, no decision has been made regarding the fate of the 2019-2020 KPL season.
The council will also deliberate on the government’s blueprint to reopening the economy and its effect on football activities.
It should be emphasized that it is only the KPL Governing Council that has the power to make such a decision.
As of now, KPL has advised clubs to familiarize themselves with the attached FIFA guidelines on dealing with the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic and their recommended roadmap to resuming football activities.
