For the first time, Mzee Jackson Kibor’s will was made public, with details indicating that his three wives will each receive an equal piece of his multimillion-dollar fortune.

Kibor succumbed to Covid-19 on March 17.

The tycoon possessed almost 5,000 acres of land in Trans Nzoia and Uasin Gishu counties, according to a family meeting conducted on Friday, May 6.

In addition, each of his sons received 200 acres of land, while each of his daughters received 100 acres.

Kibor only bequeathed a portion of his estate to one of his grandchildren, Kipchirchir Kibor, the tycoon’s eldest son Phillip Kibor.

Philip told the reporters that the family was taken aback when they learned of Mzee Kibor’s land, which they were unaware of.

Kibor began dispersing his riches months before his death, according to Philip.

He indicated that the majority of the family members were unhappy with the wealth distribution.

“There may or may not be folks who are dissatisfied. This confirmed what Mzee had already stated. There had been a few additions to what he had previously informed us.

“The will was typical of Mzee (Kibor), and those who are unhappy with it have the option of contesting it in court,” he said.

One of Mzee Kibor’s wives, Yunita Kibor, bemoaned plans to prevent her from inheriting her husband’s property on April 27. She said there was a scheme to divide the tycoon’s fortune among her co-wives, keeping her family out of the vast estate.

“I was astonished to receive property restrictions filed by some of Mzee Kibor’s children on April 1, the same day we were burying him.

“My children are still small, and I must look after them. They are entitled to their rightful part of their father’s estate. However, if they lose their inheritance, their prospects are grim,” she declared
