Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is this morning expected to appear before the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Electoral Code of Conduct Enforcement Committee.

Kuria is expected to appear before the committee at 10:00 am at the Commission Boardroom, Anniversary Towers, Nairobi.

IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, who also serves as the Electoral Code of Conduct Enforcement Committee secretary had summoned Kuria over his remarks that they helped steal votes in the previous elections.

“The commission is seized of a report and material against you in regard to violation of Clause 6 (a) and 6(i) of the Electoral Code of Conduct,” read a statement by IEBC on Saturday.

The Gatundu South MP made the claims during a United Democratic Alliance party National Delegates Conference at the Kasarani Gymnasium Arena on March 15th.

Kuria is eyeing the Kiambu Governor’s seat on his Chama Cha Kazi party ticket.

President Kenyatta’s victory was challenged by his main challenger, ODM leader Raila Odinga, in both the 2013 and the 2017 general elections.
