Leaders pay glowing tribute to the late Mwai Kibaki

Several local and international leaders have sent tribute following the demise of former President Mwai Kibaki.

The leaders have mourned Kibaki as a great economist and an advocate for peaceful co-existence in the country and the African continent.

President Paul Kagame in His twitter page said dedication to the economic transformation of Kenya and his work towards regional integration will be remembered for many generations. Kagame said the people of Rwanda stand with Kenya during this trying time.

Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu on her part said Africa has lost one of its finest sons and a dedicated public servant. She sent her condolences to President Uhuru Kenyatta, the bereaved family and Kenyans at large.

Zambia’s president Hakainde Hichilema too expressed his profound condolences to the bereaved family and to the people of Kenya.

Meanwhile Kenyans on social media have described him as the best President the country has ever had, not only after his demise, but even before.

Every time his name would pop up on social media platforms, Kenyans would pour praises on him and reminisce on his tenure as Kenya’s third president.
