– Man City take on Chelsea on Thursday, June 25, in a match that could see Liverpool crowned champions

Premier League runaways are inching closer to title glory with seven games to spare following their massive 4-0 win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, June 24.

The victory cemented Liverpool’s lead on the summit to 86 points from 31 matches, an incredible 23 points ahead of closest challengers Man City.

The result mean the Reds are now just two points away from winning their first Premier League title in 30 years.

The Anfield outfit technically have one hand on the title and could be declared champions as soon as Thursday, June.

As such, the outcome of Man City’s league meeting with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge will very much determine how soon they win the title.

Should Man City win against the Blues, Liverpool will have to wait a little longer to land their hands on the precious trophy.

However, if City draw or lose, then it will be mathematically impossible for them to catch up with Liverpool.

Meaning, such a scenario would see Jurgen Klopp’s men crowned champions Thursday evening, June 25.

Be that as it may, Liverpool may be hoping City wins against Chelsea as it means they will have the opportunity to lift the title against the Etihad dwellers in their next game, rather than be crowned champions as a result of Pep Guardiola’s men losing.
