As Kenyans continue to question who distributed poisonous food linked to Deputy President William Ruto’s foundation, several people have been linked into the matter even as investigations continue.

On Monday, several leaders allied to DP Ruto led by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi claimed that Jubilee Nominated MP Maina Kamanda was the man behind the distribution of the poisonous food.

According to a report, Kamanda claimed that he is waiting for someone to link him to the saga before commenting adding that he cannot respond to social media reports.

“No one has linked me to that incident apart from what I am reading on social media, so I refuse to open window for that discussion,” said the MP as quoted by the daily.

His sentiments come hot on the heels of the unsolved puzzle of who could dare endanger the lives of citizens in a bid to settle political scores.

On Sunday, reports say, a Landcruiser was spotted in Kikuyu distributing foodstuffs packed in carrier bags named DP Ruto foundation and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa.

Those who consumed the foodstuffs ended up in the hospital with 12 already hospitalised in Kiambu and Thika Level Five Hospitals.

The Kikuyu MP toured the area on Monday and said that the carrier bags being used to supply the food item were fake and went ahead to distance DP Ruto’s foundation from the matter.

DP Ruto on his part regretted the whole ordeal saying it was unfortunate for people to play politics with people’s lives.
