Makueni DG Adelina Mwau Joins UDA

Makueni Deputy Governor Adelina Mwau has joined the United Democratic Party ahead of the 9th August general election.

Mwau was welcomed to the DP Ruto’s political camp on Tuesday morning, 25th January at the Karen residence.

“The Hustler Nation is growing bigger and bigger. This morning we welcome Adelina Mwau, the Deputy Governor of Makueni County, to UDA. Karibu Mama,” said Ruto in a tweet.

Mwau who has been Kivutha Kibwana’s deputy since 2013 is set to contest for the Makueni Woman Representative position in 2022.

As the election period draws near, UDA has been receiving a lot of political defectors recently.

On Monday 24th January Starehe MP Charles Njagua, popularly known as Jaguar defected from Jubilee Party to Ruto’s camp.

Jaguar was welcomed to UDA by DP Ruto alongside MPs Ndindi Nyoro (Kiharu) and Oscar Sudi (Kapseret).

Last week Churchill Show comedian Jasper Muthomi, alias Mc Jessy who is eying for South Imenti Parliamentary seat also joined the UDA party.

MC Jessy will be seeking to replace the current South Imenti MP Kathuri Murungi who has been an MP since 2013.

Jessy will be battling with veteran politician Gitobu Imanyara who will also be contesting on the UDA ticket.
