Mallorca vs Real Madrid saw Los Blancos suffer their first defeat in La Liga 2019-20 campaign on Saturday night, October 19, Son Moix Stadium.

A result that saw Real Madrid drop to the second spot behind defending champions Barcelona.

After the restart, Mallorca continued asking questions through Lago Junior and company, but Los Blancos held on.

Zinedine Zidane brought on Rodrygo and Federico Valverde for Jovic and Isco after 66 minutes, with the intention for a comeback, but tragedy struck as Alvaro Odriozola was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Interestingly, in the final minutes of the contest Mallorca attempted more forward play, but Courtois was spot on to save their attempts, with the scores remaining at 1-0 at the end of proceedings.

The encounter will see Spanish league leader’s battle a struggling Mallorca with the former Chelsea star among top stars missing, with reports claiming Belgian was excused after the birth of his fourth child.
