Mandera county government to digitize services

Mandera County Government has launched an ambitious digital platform that will enhance service delivery to its employees and residents.

Mandera Governor Ali Roba while spearheading the launch said the Mandera website will help collaborate interdepartmental coordination.

Roba said all departments will avail their information to the website for easier coordination by the executive wing of the county government.

The governor further said all the advertisements for available vacancies will be put on the website.

He asked residents to frequently visit the website to view available vacancies for equitable job distribution.

On the Geographical Information System (GIS) the governor said it would boost the country’s goggle map for residents to know the exact Geographical positioning of the area

“The goggle maps will further help people to know how many roads we have constructed for even arrangement on fast travelling,” said Roba.

The ICT chief officer Pheinus Mohammed disclosed the county government had another website that did not work there before.

She said her department has deployed an ICT manager that will check on the website and help it serve its purpose.

Pheinus in addition urged departments to avail information for processing.

The website will enhance financial accountability and increase collection from it’s businesses.
