Rwandese musician MK Isacco is among the musical artists who came out as an underdog over the years when he started out his career. Well, not anymore. The Afro Beat and Afro Dancehall artist is among the best artists in East Africa and has bagged luxurious awards; including Best Male Diaspora Artist in 2016 and Best African Artist Of The Diaspora Award.

Opening up about his journey in music, Isaaco connotes the financial and fan support hardships he had to undergo while still tarmacking as a beginner.

”It’s a great joy for me to release my first album, it’s been years since I prepared it with a lot of difficulties, moments of discouragement, lack of support, lack of funding. Despite everything, I remained motivated and determined like never before… I started this project since 2016. As I had just started, I decided to release singles to make myself known… So during the year I struggle seriously, I work double so that I can find the means to go to the recording studio and to shoot a music video… People told me that I was wasting my time for nothing. But their negative words made me stronger and it gave me the strength to work harder…”

Despite all the hardships, Isaaco has managed to harvest big from his YouTube. In his latest music video released last month, he garnered over 150K views in less than a week! The song now stands at 213K views.
