Laikipia lawmaker Cate Waruguru has disputed reports that Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed is head over heels in love with her and had even tried to court her.

During a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) rally in Eldoret, Sports Club, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi let the cat out of the bag in his address when he said that Junet had tried to woo Waruguru into starting a romantic relationship with him, but she declined.

“Huyu Mrembo anaitwa Cate Waruguru, Mnajua Junet? Alijaribu kumkatia kikaumana,” he said.

When Waruguru was given the podium to give her speech, she affirmed that she does not like Junet since he has ‘verbal diarrhea’ and speaks a lot.

“I want to give a disclaimer to Oscar Sudi, Mimi si mtu wa kukatiwa na Junet Mohamed. Junet Mohamed si size yangu mimi natafutanga tall dark and handsome, yule Junet ata sauti yake anaongea kama dem. Anaweza katiaje dem kama mimi,” Waruguru said.

Waruguru further disclosed that the only man who has approached her is Deputy President William Ruto, and he pursued her politically, not seeking affection like Junet.
