Mandi Sarro became the subject of the toxic workplace conversation.

Over the past couple of days, there have been flying accusations all over social media, calling out media personality Mandi Sarro over toxic habits. It all began when Koome Gitobu, her former colleague called her out over harmful behaviour and being a bully at the workplace. Many Kenyans thereafter concurred with the claims and went on to reveal their own negative interactions with Miss Mandi. It went on to be a three day narration of allegations with “receipts” provided.
Mandi Sarro has been on air as a radio presenter and on screen as a food aficionado for ten years now. “I do not recall the many experiences recounted online, but I feel terrible that some of my actions may have caused distress.” She admitted in the apology. She acknowledged that her actions must have caused those who interacted with her distress declaring that she is not a toxic person nor are the negative actions what she stands for.
Mandi has vowed that she is on a journey of self-improvement and is working on being the best version of herself. “I can also see how those experiences contribute to the overall ‘mean girl’ culture that is perceived to be a part of the media industry here in Kenya. I do not wish to contribute to that culture and I mean that sincerely,” she wrote.
